Job Description: Woori Juntos is hiring a dedicated and multilingual Community Navigator to join our team for a 40-week temporary position. The Community Navigator will play a crucial role in assisting individuals in their journey to obtain U.S. citizenship through the N400 application process. This position involves conducting citizenship workshops, providing one-on-one guidance, and training community members to become navigators themselves. No previous experience needed.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Outreach and engage with immigrants, who hold green cards, to build trusted relationships, promote benefits of citizenship in the greater Spring Branch area.
Assist in organizing citizenship informational sessions and workshops.
Develop strategies to connect clients with various organizations for fee waiver programs.
Gather information and data on eligible immigrants, who are eligible for citizenship.
Follow up with clients to ensure they have the services and support they need when applying and after applying for citizenship.
Actively participate in public education workshops addressing critical immigration issues.
Foster and expand relationships with program participants, leaders and partner organizations to promote the Houston Naturalize Now campaign.
Attend mandatory educational N-400 citizenship navigator education programs and staff meetings.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Performance Measures:
Track the number of individuals engaged during tabling events and information sessions.
Ensure program outcomes are tracked and reviewed regularly for improvements in programs.
Effective coordination within the organization to meet organizational goals.
Completion of professional development goal.
Required Qualifications:
Fluent in English and either Korean, Spanish, Pashto, Dari, Farsi, or Arabic.
Basic computer skills: sending and receiving emails, conducting online information searches, and entering information on spreadsheets.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively with a diverse community.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in immigration services or related fields is an advantage.
Previous experience in community outreach, education, or immigration services is a plus.
Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping others achieve citizenship.
Strong understanding of the U.S. citizenship application process, particularly the N400 form.

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Dedication to social justice and a history of working with low-income and culturally diverse communities.
Ability to function effectively as part of a team while managing multiple projects.
Access to a car, a valid driver's license, insurance coverage, and the capacity to travel within the metropolitan area.
Compensation:
This is a temporary position offering $22 - $24 per hour up to 15 hours a week for 40 weeks. The position may be subject to extension based on program needs and performance. If needed, contractors will be compensated for their time being trained.
